After deep reflection, WEPOSC has made a determination to suspend Summer Camp to 2021 after considering all aspects including and most importantly, the parameters to operate in a public park while maintaining the PA and CDC Health Guidelines for the Safety of our Campers this summer. This decision was made also after talking specifically to the camper families who were enrolled. This was not an easy choice but what we feel is the best way to proceed for our unique 6 week summer camp experience and as a camp not also licensed as a daycare facility. We truly look forward to seeing our campers in 2021 to enjoy our daily crafts, games, sports and presentations—with themes from plants & animals, to valuing yourself & others, to careers, and more. It is our privilege to be in your children’s lives for a portion of their summer.
On a brighter note—keep an eye out for WEPOSC’s Virtual Crafting Projects this Summer 2020! This may include curbside pickup of FREE materials (while supplies last) followed by a recorded Zoom class that can be accessed live or at your leisure. We look forward to these and also resuming regular operations with the community as soon as the guidelines for COVID-19 allow.
Additionally, we have our Annual Father’s Day Craft set for Saturday June 20th as a drop-in event any time beginning at 10 am and ending at noon, at Ross Township Park (258 Anchorage Road, Saylorsburg) to make a FREE Grilling Potholder for Dad! Please note this event is subject to Covid-19 Guidelines and may become curbside pickup. Check www.weposc.org and the West End Park and Open Space Commission’s Facebook page for updates. Have a safe summer!
